Vertical Thruster Cartridge Seal Replacement Overview

Total time required: Approximately 8 Minutes

Tools required:

• Lint-Free Tissue or Rag
• O-Ring Lubricator
• 7/16 Inch Open End or Socket Wrench

The following components must be replaced:

• Vertical Thruster Cartridge Seal
• Vertical Thruster Splitter
• Vertical Thruster Propeller Kit
• Float Block Kit

Notes:

• Before replacing the vertical cartridge seal, check to make sure that the cartridge seal, vertical thruster shaft and area where the cartridge seal seats are clean. Also, make sure the thruster shaft is not bent or scored.
